Tapes below are listed as 2” wide followed by 3” wide in various thicknesses, print style, and number of colors printed. Some tapes are printed on the surface of the tape (on top of the film), which is most common, some are “lock-in print”, which is printed between the adhesive and the film, to avoid a situation where the ink could “rub off” (usually in an industrial oily/solvent area situation). Thicker tape (heavier mil) is for heavier packages, and certain tapes have different minimum order quantities.
